That's how I got 30fps during early gameplay, however, I'm not sure if you can reach 60fps on the steam deck, even with cemu. 6.Play in gaming mode, set to 40hz refresh uncapped fps. Steady and smooth 40fps in the wild, some towns and forests it may drop to 35. Either way extremely smooth and stable gameplay. According to some people on the emulation subs, shader cache is outdated and async should be all you need.
Although Yuzu has come a LONG way in the past few months and probably for back-to-back BOTW and TOTK it's fine to use Yuzu for both now. BotW runs about 40% faster in Cemu. it's also a lot more stable and almost completely bug-free. I get 50-60fps in Yuzu, and 90-100fps in Cemu on my 5600X. That’s nonsense.
Edit: For anyone else with this question, I also tried right-clicking on the game, selecting “Edit game profile”, going to the Controller tab, and changing “Controller 1” to “Deck” — that change persists (phew!) but when trying to launch BOTW in game mode in Airplane Mode, it still instantly crashes. 🤔 Not sure what else to do ...Skyrim is also a classic open world world game if you haven’t played it.
