At Sherman Library & Gardens the horticulture staff are currently working to record, collect, and propagate various Calochortus species endemic to Southern California. During summer 2023 Kyle led field trips with staff and interns to locate and collect seed with the goal of growing plants for Sherman Gardens.
Sherman Gardens is an oasis of beauty in the midst of the Corona Del Mar shopping district. A private estate turned public garden, the property is divided into planting zones featuring roses, shade plants, succulents and other colorful and beautiful specimens, carved for lovingly by volunteers alongside paid staff.Sherman Library and Gardens had a lovely room for the reception for the reason that it was half inside and half out.
